Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to prepare for the consultation?

Generally, no. If you wear contact lenses, it is recommended that you remove them 1–2 days before your appointment if you wear soft lenses, or 1 week before if you wear rigid lenses, to ensure accurate examination results.

What should I bring to the consultation?

Your passport, glasses, and any previous prescriptions for vision correction.

When should I see an ophthalmologist?

You should see an ophthalmologist if you experience a sudden decrease in vision, spots or “floaters” in your field of vision, eye pain, redness, excessive tearing, eye injuries, or a change in the shape of the pupil.

What happens during the consultation?

The doctor assesses the condition of your eyes using modern diagnostic methods, performs visual acuity and intraocular pressure tests, and, if necessary, recommends additional examinations.

Can I drive after the appointment?

Some procedures and eye drops may temporarily reduce visual acuity. We recommend taking this into account and, if necessary, arranging for someone to accompany you or avoiding driving after the consultation.
